Creating the right environment isn’t about knowing what to “do” in every given situation. It’s about understanding what your values are and attempting to hold yourself accountable for bringing them out in the world. We intend to create a space where there can be both individual and community-based interventions. This can mean a lot: dance parties, movie watching sessions, a mindful practice workshop with trauma survivors, somatic + movement healing, group discussions on the beauty industry or climate/ecological grieving, and through listening to the community, so much more. All of these ideas came about because the community reached out to us and said: this is what we need – and that’s what we want.
