Film-Reel Therapy: A Mental Health Movie Processing Group
Join us for Film-Reel Therapy, a safe space to watch and discuss movies that explore mental health topics and emotions together.
Now more than ever, we must intentionally build and invest in our community. One powerful way to do this is by bonding over art—especially through pop culture. Pop culture is part of culture, and when we engage with it intentionally, it can reflect history, deepen our understanding of ourselves, and even transform us.
The Film Reel Therapy Group invites participants to watch films and engage in thoughtful dialogue through a mental health and community-oriented lens. We explore not only the themes and messages of the films, but also the somatic, emotional, and physiological experience of watching together.
This group will meet monthly with limited space, and we’re prioritizing current FRT community members before opening it up more broadly. Clinicians—please consider which of your clients, peers, or friends might benefit from or enjoy this experience!
